Behold my parents!! The stars of this tour! Not many couples make it to fifty years, and not many couples have as much to celebrate as these two. Their marriage has withstood mining and teaching strikes, when budgets were tight; family tragedies, when we needed each other just to put one foot in front of the other; storms both literal and figurative; but at the end of the day, the victories and love and happy laughing moments far outnumber the tearful ones. These people are my favorite people on the whole planet, and I’m so glad I get to be their plus-one on this trip! We have looked forward to this celebration of their love for so long, and I’d love for you to join us as we enjoy our adventures down the Rhine River. Stay tuned for daily updates of our trip!
